Book Review : what we are loving to read

If you follow me on Instagram Stories, you've likely seen me post mini book reviews and recommendations with my girls. We LOVE reading and it's probably the one thing I like to spoil my girls with most. Here are a few of our recent favorites. When the illustrations are as beautiful as the words I can get lost for days. I'd love to hear what you're favorite picture books are too!

1. Swatch: The Girl Who Loved Color
I love showing my girls a smart, inquisitive, and brave female character and Swatch is all that and more done in beautiful illustration. Beauty and color are found all around us!
2. Bunny Roo, I Love You
This is a simple, quick, and cute story we often read at bedtime. Perfect for snuggles, and sentimental feelings. And honestly I love anything that Teagan White illustrates.
3. Bunny's Book Club
We picked this book up from the library based on the adorable cover, but the story is even better. A curious and unstoppable bunny and his friends make their way into the local library to get their hands on more and more reading material. This one is going to stay with me so I can read it to my gandbabies someday. The power of reading is a beautiful thing.
4. Extra Yarn
I bought this book close to 2 years ago and it is still a favorite that gets read frequently. A magical box of yarn brings delight and magic to a dusty winter town and I love how simply sweet Anabel's intentions are to distribute it. Every time I read Extra Yarn I end with a sense of wonder and whimsy.
5. What's Your Favorite Color - Polk-A-Dot Book
My kids cannot get enough of these polk a dot books. We also have the farm one and to say it gets a lot of attention and use is an understatement. These books have plastic circles that you "polk and pop"... it's truly addicting and such an awesome tactile learning tool. Great for learning numbers, colors, and objects.
